The Live Action Acca: Forwards To Shine In This 9/1 Treble

Goals, anytime goal scorers and shots on target make up this Friday night treble as Arsenal host Villa in the Premier League

After more live winners on our BetAlong last week the lads are raring to go for Friday. There is an action packed football schedule including Arsenal vs Villa, Sampdoria vs Spezia, and top flight clashes from La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga. Not to mention regular favourites from Belgium, the Eerste Divisie and much, much more.

The lads have picked up some huge priced winners this season so make sure to tune in from 7:30PM BST on Friday to cheer on these bets. We’ll put €/£10 on this treble and one of our most engaged viewers during our live stream will win the €/£100 if the bet lands!

Arsenal v Aston Villa – Friday 22nd Oct 20:00 BST – Gaz

This looks like the ideal game for a BetAlong show like ours and I’m really looking forward to it. There’s lot of storylines and, probably more importantly, goals look to be guaranteed. There was late drama for both sides last weekend with their respective games seeing injury time goals. For Arsenal it was a positive goal with the Gunners salvaging a point with the last kick of the game. Alexandre Lacazette was the hero and he’s my betting angle here. The Frenchman was only introduced as a sub midway through the second half, but made a massive impression. He brought a tenacity and aggressiveness to Arsenal’s play and nearly single-handedly came to his teams rescue. Given his impact, I can’t see him being left out of the starting eleven on Friday.

The bet I like is Lacazette to have 2+ shots on target at 7/4. In his 23 minutes (plus stoppage time) on the pitch on Monday, Lacazette managed three shots and two of those were on target. He’s a streaky player and I can see him causing Villa’s defense (conceded five in last two games) lots of problems. I haven’t fully written off Villa’s chances and I will be having a sneaky bet on another SOT angle. Danny Ings has been a regular in the starting lineup for Villa and netted last time out against Wolves. He’s priced at 10/3 to have 2+ shots on target and that looks very big to me.

Alessandria v Crotone – Friday 22nd Oct 19:30 BST – LB

Its been a while since the Serie B made an appearance on the BetAlong and I for one am delighted to have it back. The second tier of Italian football is hugely unpredictable and is as entertaining as any league around. We have a relegation six-pointer on Friday night as 17th place Crotone travel to 18th place Alessandria. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty it is a very tough game to call.

The visitors are slightly favoured at 3/2 with the hosts at 15/8. That feels about right. Both teams have just one win in eight but Crotone are 3 points ahead courtesy of eking out more draws. Crotone have also played four of the top five teams so far and I get the feeling their league position is artificially low. They managed 5 points in those games and could just have too much for Alessandria.

I tipped Samuele Mulattieri to score earlier in the season (and he duly obliged) and it is hard to look past him here. The on-loan Inter youngster has six goals in eight league appearances and is making his mark for Crotone. Alessandria have conceded 18 goals in 8 games and Mulattieri is bound to get chances. I’m not sure why he is 13/8 to score anytime here and he has to be backed.

Sampdoria v Spezia – Friday 22nd Oct 19:45 BST – Slatts

Sampdoria (17th) host Spezia (16th) in the Serie A and this one should have plenty of goals (though that could be said for most Serie A games this season). The stats show plenty of goals at both ends in these teams’ recent games, and there is no reason to expect that to end here.

Sampdoria have failed to win at home so far this season, though 3 of their 4 games came against the top 3 teams in the league. Winning is a habit though, and 7/10 looks short enough for a struggling side without any win in their last 4 outings. While this game poses a good opportunity to get a win in front of home support, they won’t have it all their own way.

Spezia have scored in 8 of their last 10 away trips, and this fixture last season finished 2-2, with the visitors leading twice. They also won the reverse fixture 2-1, and those results will give them some confidence ahead of this one. It’s worth noting that the 4 meetings between these sides in recent years have had both teams scoring in each and averaged 4.5 goals per game.

I’m leaning toward a 2-1 victory for the hosts, though a 2-2 repeat of last season isn’t unlikely either. Each side’s last 5 games have had over 2.5 goals, and the bookies are wise to this with the over here priced at 8/13. Both teams scoring, which the recent form and H2H stats really back up, along with over 2.5 goals is a more favourable price at 10/11 and is the pick.

SRD Selections:

Arsenal v Aston Villa – Lacazette 2+ Shots On Target @ 7/4 (William Hill)

Alessandria v Crotone – Samuele Mulattieri To Score Anytime @ 13/8 (Betfair)

Sampdoria v Spezia – Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams To Score @ 10/11 (Bet365)

The above in a treble pays 9/1* (William Hill)

Remember, we’ll put €/£10 on this treble and one of our most engaged viewers during our live stream will win the €/£100 if the bet lands!

* Note that the above odds individually would generate a treble for close to 13/1, however not every bookmaker offers the same market, or the same price on any given market. Betfair have Lacazette priced at only 11/10, while William Hill only offer 5/4 on the Mulattieri anytime goal scorer market. Bet365 are the only of the three above bookies which offer Over 2.5 with BTTS as market that can be accumulated. The best overall value we can find is with William Hill, and within this treble we have only Over 2.5 Goals in the Sampdoria v Spezia game, BTTS is not included.
