The Live Action Acca: A Treble of Both Teams To Score Pays 6/1
We are expecting goals all round this Friday, with each of us picking a game we expect to see both sides finding the net.
After more live winners on our BetAlong last week the lads are raring to go for Friday. There is an action packed football schedule including PSG, Club Brugge and a big name clash in The Championship as WBA host Birmingham City. The lads have picked up some huge priced winners this season so make sure to tune in from 7:30PM BST on Friday to cheer on these bets.
Club Brugge vs Kortrijk Fri 15 Oct 19:45 BST – LB
Brugge are still within touching distance of the summit of the Belgian First Division A despite dropping points in their last two games and will need a win here to get back on track. With their impressive (and predicted) Champions League form I think we will continue to see some domestic slip-ups from Club, especially from now until the spring of next year. Not until Brugge eventually find themselves out of European competition and in the middle of the Belgian playoffs should we expect to see them take control of the FDA.
Kortrijk are eighth in the league and are quietly going about their business. De Kerels have only lost once since August and they look markedly improved compared to last season. Their games are still high scoring, open affairs, but now KVK find themselves drawing fixtures they would have lost in previous years. That might not be enough for them to beat Club Brugge, but they should certainly score.
Brugge still do not look great at the back this season and have only kept two clean sheets in their last 8 games. In fact, Brugge have only managed a single clean sheet at home going back to March (12 games). Kortrijk only failed to score on one occasion this season and are currently on a run of six consecutive scoring games (finding the back of the net 10 times). A two-all draw would not surprise me here although I will probably find myself backing Brugge to win and BTTS at 9/5 come Friday. For the acca though, the safe bet is BTTS at EVS.
Burton vs Morecambe Fri 15 Oct 19:45 BST – Gaz
It only takes a glance at the League One table to tell that these two sides are closely matched. Burton (10th) started the season brilliantly, winning their first three games. Since then they’ve been pretty inconsistent and they need to be careful they don’t lose touch with their fellow promotion candidates. The Brewers have lost three of their last five games and can’t afford to drop more points on Friday. The positive for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men has been their home form (W3, D2, L1). Importantly for my selection, they’ve scored at least one goal in every home league game thus far.
Morecambe (13th) have turned into the entertainers of the division. There has been nineteen goals in Morecambe’s last four league games. That stat excludes their recent EFL Trophy fixture against Hartlepool which ended in a 2-2 draw. In their eleven league games this season there have been a total of thirty-seven goals (average 3.36 goals per game). In those eleven matches the Shrimps have only failed to hit the net on two occasions.
Given both teams form and thirst for goals, both teams to score (19/20) looks like a great bet here. I’ll also be having a small wager on Burton to win & both teams to score as I think Burton need the three points the most.
Hoffenheim vs Cologne Fri 15 Oct 19:30 BST – Slatts
Hoffenheim always jump out to me as a team to back in the Both Teams To Score market, a team who tend to sit around the upper end of mid-table, scoring plenty but also leaking goals regularly. While BTTS has only occurred in 4 of Hoffenheim’s 7 league games so far this season, scoring 12 and conceding 11 across these 7 games does highlight the balance of goals in both directions with this side. Their last 10 home games have seen both sides scoring in 8.
With the 4-of-7 stat not filling me with confidence, I would be relying on a suitable opponent to pursue this market. Cologne certainly tick the right boxes. All 7 of their league games this season have had goals at both ends, and 11 of their last 12 in all competitions have had BTTS. The H2H between these two also back up the bet, having occurred in 3 of their last 4 meetings. All four of these games had over 2.5 goals, and this is the combination I’m going for here. Picking a winner is too difficult to include, so the pick is BTTS and over 2.5 goals which is available at 8/11 and feels a cert.
I’m also very tempted to back Andrej Kramaric to score anytime, available on Betfair at 6/5. The Croatian forward bagged 20 goals for Hoffenheim last season, with 5 of these coming in 2 games against Cologne. Kramaric started slow this season but opened his account in Hoffenheim’s last home game, and I’m expecting him to kick on here against a familiar opponent.
Club Brugge vs Kortrijk – BTTS @ EVS
Burton vs Morecambe – BTTS @ 19/20
Hoffenheim vs Cologne – BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ 8/11
The above in a treble pays just under 6/1 with Bet365
