Saturday Betalong Treble – Value Available Where Fates Are Already Determined
From Serie A, Premier League and Primeira Liga, we have found some value in a 13/2 treble, in games where the result means less than the performance.
Roma v Lazio – Sat 15 May 19:45 BST
First off to Italy, where we are expecting goals in a lively rivalry between Roma and Lazio. Given neither side has a whole lot to play for (although Lazio have an outside chance of Champions League qualification), this should be an open game with both sides attacking freely.
The last 5 meetings between these two have either had both teams scoring or over 2.5 goals. We are expecting both of these to occur, with both sides throwing caution to the wind and aiming to outscore each other.
Given Lazio’s poor recent run of away form, with 7 losses in their last 10, Roma & Over 2.5 is also tempting at 10/3. For the treble, we are sticking with the safer option of both teams scoring and over 2.5 match goals, available at odds of 4/5.
Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/5
Brighton v West Ham – Sat 15 May 20:00 BST
With Brighton now safe from relegation, and West Ham still with an outside chance of a Champions League spot, there looks to be value in backing an away win here.
Brighton sit in 17th spot, 10 points clear of Fulham, with 3 games remaining. The Seagulls may still be celebrating the confirmation of another season of Premier League football, and have nothing to play for here. On top of that they have multiple injuries, along with Maupay and Dunk missing due to suspension.
West Ham welcome Declan Rice back into the action whose presence is likely to have an immediate impact. The Hammers have won 2 of their last 3 away league games, and know that only a win here will keep their faint hopes of a Champions League spot alive. A win could also guarantee a Europa League spot, which is certainly enough to motivate.
All things considered, West Ham appear overpriced at 13/10 for the win, and this is our selection.
West Ham To Win @ 13/10
Benfica v Sporting Lisbon – Sat 15 May 20:00 BST
An interesting encounter in Portugal’s Primeira Liga see’s newly crowned champions Sporting travel to third place Benfica. While Sporting may be nursing a hangover after sealing their first title since 2002 during the week, Benfica don’t have a whole lot to play for either.
Sitting in 3rd place, Benfica cannot finish any lower and are unlikely to pass out Porto above, who are 4 points clear with 2 games remaining. While they will be eager to keep their chances of 2nd alive, they already make Champions League qualifiers in their current position, and have probably settled for that.
Without a whole lot to play for, it makes picking a result here difficult, but we should at least see an open game and plenty of goals. Both sides have scored in 18 of their last 20 games, and it seems extremely likely both will find the net again in this match. 5 of the last 6 games between them in Benfica ended with both sides scoring, and 4/5 seems value for a recurrence here.
Both Teams To Score @ 4/5
The combination of the above 3 bets pays out at 6.5/1 as a treble.
