Goals on both sides of the Atlantic in our Saturday Betalong Treble

For our Betalong acca this Saturday we have a juicy 6/1 treble that includes goals in England, Italy and The USA

New York Red Bulls v Chicago Fire – Sat 1 May 18:00 BST

It’s early days in the MLS season but these two have opened with a few entertaining games, all of which had multiple goals. We expect this trend to continue are backing more goals in this fixture.

The Red Bulls opened their season with a 2-1 defeat at home to Sporting KC, and followed up with a 3-2 loss on the road against LA Galaxy. Including a couple of pre-season friendlies they now have seen both teams scoring in 9 of their last 10 games.

Chicago have had a marginally better start to the season with a 2-2 home draw against New England followed by a 3-1 defeat at Atlanta. 13 of their last 15 games have finished with goals at both ends, and 12 of these have had over 2.5 goals.

On the back of these stats, it’s surprising to see odds available for the combination of BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals available at 10/11. This looks far more likely to happen than not to, so odds close to even money represents value here. The last two times these sides met the games finished 2-2 and 3-1 so Saturday should be no different.

Both Team To Score & Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11

AC Milan v Benevento – Sat 1 May 19:45 BST

On paper, Milan (5th) home to Benevento (18th) should be a straightforward home win and odds of 1/3 would indicate the same. However, when we look at the stats and recent form these odds look a little measly.

Milan have only won one of their last 8 home games, and that victory came courtesy of a 68th minute own goal, as they scraped a 2-1 win over Genoa. While Benevento aren’t winning a whole lot themselves, their last 6 away games finished with 1 win (over Juventus no less!), 3 draws and 2 defeats. They scored in 5 of these 6 games, and have scored 7 times in their last 3 outings.

While Milan may indeed get a win here, it seems likely their opponents will at least find the back of the net. 5 of Milan’s last 6 games have finished with both teams scoring, and with Benevento’s capacity to score on the road this seems great value at odds of 4/5.

Both Team To Score @ 4/5

Everton v Aston Villa – Sat 1 May 20:00 BST

Everton’s bright start to the season has somewhat faded, and a win here is crucial if they want any chance of European football next year. Sitting in 8th on 52 points, they are just three points out of reach of a Europa League place and a further 3 from a Champions League spot.

With a win very much needed, Everton might take a few risks here by pushing forward. They face a Villa team who are strong on the break, which could result in a very open entertaining affair. An early goal here and the floodgates could open so over 2.5 goals certainly looks likely and is priced generously at 10/11.

Villa’s last 4 games have all had 3+ goals, and while Everton’s recent stats aren’t quite as strong, both teams have scored in 4 of their last five. Their last home game was a 2-2 draw with Spurs, and this could easily match that in goals.

Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11

SRD Selections:

New York Red Bulls v Chicago Fire  BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11

Ac Milan v Benevento  BTTS @ 4/5

Everton v Aston Villa Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11

The above 3 bets combined pays 5.6/1 as a treble.
