Beano’s Bet Builder: Giants To Keep It Close In Week 11 Finale
We're hoping to bring Week 11 of the NFL season to a close with a bang by landing this Monday Night Football bet-builder.
The final game of Week 11 is upon us. Monday Night Football sees a resurgent Giants team coming off their bye week, facing the defending Superbowl champion Buccaneers. The Bucs have lost two matches in a row and will look to get back on track in this one. In particular QB Tom Brady is on a retrieval mission as he’s been off his game in those losses (Saints & Washington). The Giants on the other hand have been showing signs of improvement lately. With key players returning from injury they will look to build on that momentum.

New York Giants
The Giants aren’t as bad as public perception or their 3-6 record would suggest. Big Blue have struggled at home but have been much better on the road in the past couple of seasons. That was evidenced two weeks ago against the Chiefs, when they comfortably covered a big handicap in a 20-17 defeat. Barring blowouts against the Cowboys and Rams they’ve managed to keep scorelines respectable, which makes me think they could keep this closer than people expect.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay lost by double digits against Washington last week which was a major shock. They were without wide receiver Antonio Brown which hampered their offensive plans and Brown is out for this match also. On defense the Bucs has been completely decimated by injuries. Defensive tackle Vita Vea is a recent addition to that injuriy list and that’s a huge blow. It’s especially bad timing for the Buccaneers given the Giants are expected to have star RB Saquon Barkley back for this game. With Vea absent Barkley might be able to bring some needed balance to the Giants offense.
When these teams met last year the Giants dealt with the threat of Tom Brady effectively, holding him in check for the most part. The G-Men’s defense has improved enough over the past month (allowing just 39 points in 3 matches) to keep this game close. With that in mind I’m taking the +11.5 spread being offered. Rob Gronkowski returns for the Bucs and he’s sure to see some action. Gronk’s receiving yardage over is 30.5 yards and that looks like a good bet. Leonard Fournette is always the main RB for the Bucs in the red zone and he should get chances to make the endzone tonight.
Rob Gronkowski over 30.5 receiving yards
Leonard Fournette anytime TD
